The distinguished state guest visited Minsk Tractor Works, where he was shown the model range of tractors.
The interest of the head of the Tajik state in the development of mutually beneficial cooperation with Minsk Tractor Works proceeds from the fact that the country is rapidly transforming, agriculture is developing, and therefore Belarusian agricultural machines are very necessary. Tajikistan and Belarus have experience of direct cooperation, for example, through the creation of an assembly production of OJSC “MTW” at a joint venture in Gissar, where machinery of BELARUS brand has been already produced for the second year. According to the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, this project has become the starting point for building up long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation in other areas.
Having arrived in our country, the distinguished state guest visited Minsk Tractor Works, where he was shown the model range of tractors produced at the head enterprise and plants of “MTW-HOLDING”. What he saw impressed the head of the Tajik state. Of particular interest to him was innovative specialty – the 500 hp-strong BELARUS-5022, which is now on trial. Emomali Rakhmon carefully studied the machinery and tools for it, and also asked MTW specialists in detail about the technical capabilities of this machine and its performance. The distinguished guest was also interested how effective it is when applied in Tajikistan. The line of mini-machinery, as well as gardening tractors appealed to the President of Tajikistan too.
As Emomali Rakhmon emphasized, agricultural workers of Tajikistan are well acquainted with MTZ-80/82. But now, when the country is developing, construction is under way, including road construction, it is necessary to supply machinery of a wider model range and in large volumes. He said about this to the Belarusian side and by telephone to the Prime Minister directly during the inspection of the machinery exposition and instructed him to explore this issue.
According to Vitaly Vovk, General Director of OJSC “MTW”, the team of Belarusian tractor manufacturers is ready to expand the range of machinery supplied and is ready to adapt it to the needs of the agricultural sector of Tajikistan with its complex terrain.
The interest in machinery and the impressions of what they saw were so great that the President of Tajikistan doubled the time planned by the protocol to stay at MTW.
