The exhibition of agricultural machinery called “Who will feed our cities tomorrow?” was held in the city of Libramon on July 27–30.
Minsk tractor works presented its products to European farmers. It is worth noting that with the organizational support of the Embassy of Belarus in the Kingdom of Belgium, agricultural machinery of Belarusian manufacturers has been demonstrated for the second year in a row at this regional show, by the way, one of the largest in Europe. This exhibition brings together farmers from both Belgium and its neighboring countries - France, Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
This year, “MTW-HOLDING” presented to the guests of the Belgian exhibition 13 to 110 hp tractors. In particular, visitors could evaluate BELARUS-152, BELARUS-321, BELARUS-422.4, BELARUS-952.6, BELARUS-1523.6.
Michele Becken, a farmer and dealer of our machinery in Belgium, shared his opinion about the tractors produced by Minsk Tractor Works:
These machines work on any soil. Belarus tractor is reliability and simplicity. Time does not stand still, technologies are developing, and young farmers want everything to work simply - with a single click. I am an experienced person and I know that this is impossible on land. Of course, everything should work perfectly, because the European farmer is picky, look around - what a competition!
On the last day of the exhibition, at the invitation of the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus in the Kingdom of Belgium, Alexander Mikhnevich, the head of the Government of Wallonia, Willy Borsus, visited the exposition of the Minsk Tractor Works. For him, the visit was all the more interesting due to the fact that a year ago he served as a Minister of Agriculture of Belgium. The Belgian politician not only expressed interest in establishing contacts between Belarusian agricultural machinery producers and Belgian farmers, but also accepted an invitation to come to our country in 2019 with a working visit.
“I am well aware of the industrial potential of Belarus. Now, when I myself sat behind the wheel, I touched everything with my hands, this understanding intensified. This is absolutely competitive machinery. I am sure that it will arouse interest of Belgian agrarians, especially energy-saturated, powerful machines. After all, our farms are getting bigger, fields – wider,” Willy Borsus said.
He also promised that the Government of Wallonia will take an active part in the preparation of the 3rd Belarusian-European Economic Forum, which will be held in 2019 in Antwerp.
